Define how the packaging will be used
Start with the product it will hold and how it will be presented, handled and shipped. Include product dimensions and weight, the required pack quantity and any existing packaging reference.
Your enquiry may include retail boxes, printed cartons, protective inserts, labels or other packaging components. Share the required material, structure and finish where known. If you need options, explain the purpose and ask the supplier to propose a suitable construction for review.
Bring the technical and visual details together
- Size: internal and external dimensions, with a clear unit of measurement.
- Structure: box style, closures, inserts and the product arrangement.
- Material: board, paper or other specified material and finish.
- Print: artwork files, colour references, logo position and required text.
- Quantity: the number for each size or design.
- Delivery: whether the packaging goes to your product supplier or ships separately.
Approve a sample before production
A sample or proof can help you review size, fit, print placement and construction. We coordinate the available options and communicate your comments to the supplier. Confirm the artwork version and physical reference approved for the order.
Where the packaging comes from a different supplier than the product, allow for the information and sample exchange needed to check the fit. We can help coordinate that discussion.
Follow the order through packing
We follow the supplier against the agreed requirements and arrange the defined checks. These may include quantity, dimensions, appearance, printed details and the packing arrangement for the finished packaging.
If it will be delivered to a product factory, we help align completion dates and the handover information. If it will be shipped separately, carton dimensions and gross weight become part of the freight enquiry.
